A british aid worker was abducted in Afghanistan with three others. They were pulled from their two car convoy. Police had a brief firefight with the kidnappers, but they escaped. Supposebly, they are in the the mountains while the area is being searched.
I find that this connects to what we have learned, because even though Britian left Afhanistan (India before when it was ruled by the British) they still have people down there helping.

The Siam kingdom, Ayutthaya was a major trade center during it's reign. Unlike the earlier Sukhothai period, which was a time of influence and spread of culture. Why do you think this is so? Give a few reasons.

Before Theravada Buddhism spread to Siam, Mahayana Buddhism was the Siam dominant religion. However this has now changed, and Therevada Buddhism has taken the role at the top. Why do you think there are more followers of Theravada Buddhism than Mahayana?

    Khmer Economy
Angkor was located in a very fertile area just North of the Great Lake, Tonle Sap. This meant that they could grow almost anything and their agriculture was their main source of economical profit. Angkor traded with neighboring tribes and settlements and made a lot of profit from fish, water supplies and backflows from the Mekong River.
